Entry Requirements to be eligible to visit Mauritius
A visitor must be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry. Passports issued by the government of Taiwan are not recognized. The holders of such documents can apply for an entry permit to the Passport and Immigration Officer.  It is strongly recommended to contact the Passport Office or your nearest Mauritius contact for information on entry requirements.

It is to be noted that all visitors must hold valid tickets and documents for their onward or return journey and must have adequate funds for their intended stay.


Types of visa and cost
Tourist, Business and Social, each available as single-entry or multiple-entry. Visas are issued free of charge.
Validity
Tourist visas: up to 6 months in one year.
Business visas: up to 3 months.
Social visas: 2 months.
Application to
Consulate (or Consular section at Embassy or High Commission).

Note: 
(a) Nationals of Albania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia, Madagascar, Hungary, Poland, Romania, India, CIS and Comoros can obtain a visa on arrival for stays of up to 15days.
(b) Nationals of Iraq, Iran, Libya, Algeria and Sudan need special clearance.


Application Requirements
     (a) Valid passport.
     (b) Passport - size photo.
     (c) Proof of means of support during stay.
     (d) Proof of accommodation.
Working days required
This varies according to nationality of applicant. This may take 35 to 40 days

Health Precautions
An international vaccination certificate against Yellow Fever is needed if arriving from an infected area. Malaria risk exclusively in the benign form {P.Virax} exists throughout the year in some areas, except in Rodrigues Island.
